My first full fledged professional design project was at my job at Bravo Lucy Technologies AS, in their Hyderabad development office. I worked as the lead designer tasked with building out a tool that helped analysing soccer data. This tool was intended for use by professional clubs and various broadcast and analysis presenters. The main design effort built into carefully crafting the various data visualization methods and iterating over them. The volume of data we dealt with in this product was massive - up to 3000 data events per minute of every game of professional soccer played in Europe. To make sense of this vast sea of numbers, the way we visualized the data had to be informative while not being overbearing. We chose to be very restrictive in our use of color to be able to use it to control user attention towards meta trends rather than singular events.
